Simple birthday things....
Today is my birthday and hubby got me some things that are "me" and I'm thrilled with.
One thing I've been talking about is a small whisk. Not all tasks need a full-sized whisk. He got me one at our local restaurant supply store. It's perfect, and I'm also ecstatic that it's USA made. I never ever see that here.

Comments (75)LOL! Carol, don't worry about Stella. In this house (according to her) it's all about Stella! Those two cats are still rolling around in the catnip, and enjoying a bite of it too, from time to time. I've got a couple of stoners here! I tried to hide the package from them, but they found it while I was at work and "spread the love" all over the office while I was at work. I swept it back up, but they'll probably be into it again today. Who needs cable when I've got Bump and Stella for entertainment? ((chuckle)) And the birthday goes on! This is sooo cool! Yesterday I received 2 great cards in the mail, one from Sue/suecirish and one from Andrea/appaloosa909. They both had some great seeds in them. THANK YOU LADIES!!! After this month, I kind of pity the seed companies. I don't think I'll be making a seed order for next year. I'm getting plenty of seeds from my friends here on the GW! Lol!..... I bought one a couple of years ago, and once I started using it, I realized I wanted another. I seem to end up doing a lot with smaller quantities and having two small whisks is handy. To each his/her own...but if it's anything less than 50, this is exactly the sort of thing that I would keep in either a Word.doc or a simple spreadsheet that could be edited or printed and hung on the fridge whenever you desire. Comments (4)Marilyn, Visit your local pet store and browse thru the grooming supplies section. You should find scissors made just for trimming hair around the feet and ears and they come in different lengths. The tips are rounded so they're much safer than regular scissors. Here's what I use. Today was a great day. We went to our favourite pet store who was holding a Fido Fest in support of a local dog rescue group. Raffles, 50-50 draw, vendors, etc. Even though we don't have dogs we went to support her. It was hot today so there were wading pools and sprinklers for the dogs and tents for the vendors.
Tonite we attended a concert in the park.......a Swing band playing Glen Miller, Guy Lombardo, Louis Armstrong music.
