'Pass Along Plants' anyone read it?
Comments (5)oh yeah. one of the first gardening books i found when i moved down here 3+ years ago. still one of my favorites -- and not boring at all! i'm only now finding more of the plants that i wanted from it... and it's sooo exciting to run into them when i'm not looking or expecting! : )...See MoreDoes anyone here recognize this plant?
Comments (6)Thank you - My3dogs - I initially looked at the Garden Forums and there were so many I must have missed the Name That Plant - I looked under Identify and then got lazy and came back here. Thank you writersblock for the name. It really brightened the entry to the hospital and I've never seen one before. Since it's tropical it must be similar to when I buy a hibiscus for the summer. It wouldn't make it through Pittsburgh winter so perhaps the landscapers treat it like an annual or dig it up and overwinter it in a greenhouse....See MoreAnyone recognize this plant?

Comments (6)Well thx Embo, it was kind of beat up & shriveling, didn't have any roots yet, that's only appeared after it'd been in water for 2 wks. It doesn't look or feel succulent to me, but reading up on it & seeing its pix w/ bloom, it does look familiar. Likely I've seen in somewhere in C&S situations. Then again, the vendor had a lot of succulents so it does make sense that's what it is. Thanks everybody, I'll be comfy potting it up in a C&S based mix, am thinking C&S mix, Perlite & maybe a bit of bark....See Moresylviatexas1
