Can you help me identify this rose, please
Comments (3)I was also going to guess 'Shailer's Provence'. While many different pass-along roses have been given the name 'Seven Sisters', the real thing is a large climbing Multiflora. :-) ~Christopher...See MoreHelp me identify old rose, please.
Comments (6)Years ago I bought every odd and different rose I could find....I believe you have R. wichuriana poteriifolia, a very tiny variety of wichuriana that would be small enough for a window box. Glossy, wichuriana foliage and tiny, flexible, and very prickly stems. It has only small clusters or single blooms, no large panicles. It roots wherever it touches the ground. I lost mine in a move, but always enjoyed it as a ground cover. I don't recall it being over 3" off the ground...a very horizontal grower. It's really unique....check it out on helpmefind and see what you think. You'll need to look it up under its correct name, 'wichurana'. I still use the old name..... Comments (1)Try the 'Roses' Forum here on GardenWeb - it gets a lot more traffic than this one. I'm sure someone there will be able to suggest an ID for it....See MoreHelp me identify this rose please
Comments (3)You're welcome - and welcome to GardenWeb, Jaroo! Click on Garden Forums (in green at the top of this page), then find Roses (in bold type) in the alphabetical list; clicking on that will show you all the rose-related forums. I think your roses are modern, so select 'Roses' to post your query. Unfortunately, this forum doesn't get much traffic, but the Roses Forum and Antique Roses Forum are very busy and plenty of people should see your query. I think the Rose Gallery Forum is also quite popular. Good luck with getting your roses ID'd....See Morezack_lau z6 CT ARS Consulting Rosarian
