Patching Plaster along trim

I made the stupid decision to strip the 100 years of bubbly paint off my trim. It went slow and painfully (used citristrip), but the worst part was when I peeled back the tape, some of the edges had failed and now need to be repaired before painting the walls.

The walls are paint over wallpaper and look pretty terrible in general, but I'd like to make it presentable, especially near my soon to be gleaming trim. How should I go about making the repair? Setting type joint compound? In a few spots I can see down to the plaster, most of the time it's just a layer or three of paint/wallpaper.

Thanks.
