Amcour, If that's true, why is it not on my home computer (with Firefox) but the misspellings (my intentional 'useddddd') but on my work computer - it's the same browser - Firefox. Karen, It is a form of browser spellchecker - many typos go through unflagged because they, as you well know, are themselves words, just not the correct ones. When I've actually misspelled a word here (see 'wwrrdd' but not 'hear'), the word's underlined in red.

As it turns out, they can turn spell-check off, at least in a specific HTML element. Why would a site would want to do that? I don't know, perhaps just to make me feel dumb. Well, I'll be [whatever my grandmothers expletive was]. I had never noticed the options immediately below the suggested corrections in bold font. Thanks. As someone above noted...GREAT. Now, should someone make an error an add an incorrectly spelled word can it be removed?

It comes with. Go to Tools at the top of your screen. Then click on Options. In the window that comes up, click on Advanced, and select the General tab. Look under Browsing, and check the last box. It says something about allowing spell checking. Ask me how I know!
