Which kind of anemones? The daisy like ("Windflowers") ones are cold hardy. The ones that look like poppies (deCaen) are only hardy to Zone 6. I have not grown those, though I was tempted (Saw them at Menard's, too) and looked them up on the Brent and Becky's bulb site. Those need to be planted in spring, to bloom this year. Then either dug up in fall, or treated like an annual.

You'd be safer posting this question of the regional Florida gardening forum. South Florida is its own special world, and the choice of best shade tree is influenced by constraints of hurricane wind resistance, need for irrigation in winter, and whether it is potentially invasive in Florida conditions. I'd suggest if there are any of the native shade trees that you like, plant one of those. If it doesn't need to be a native, and depending on the situation and views, etc, I might even be tempted to put in a small grove of showy palms such as silvery Bismarckia nobilis. In 10 to 15 years they can easily form a great canopy effect that would stand out against live oak forest.

I live in the Jacaranda area of Broward and they are planted all over the place. The definitely blend in with the other trees unless they're in bloom. I think the ones around here are mimosfolia? I think either the nursery in Punta Gorda or Gardinos offer both species. I think it would be spectacular to have a street lined alternating jacarandas & Royal poiciannas. Imagine that show if they all bloomed at once!

This is my first time attempting, I have planted it into the soil after root developed from my tubers. My current problems is with either snails or iguanas eating the leaves and even stalk. Has anyone had success with Dahlias in Florida?
