I could kick myself

Unlike the beautiful pictures of your plants, many of mine are just plain ugly due to my less than ideal growing conditions. At some point in late winter/early spring they seem to get attacked by spider mites. Then it takes the rest of the summer for them to grow out of the damage. I always try to be more diligent, but I get busy or am working too much and I never get a handle on it.

I only have a handful that are "perfect", but I ruined another one last week when I moved the mid-sized plants to get more sun. They were spending summer under shade cloth. One of the plants had very little spination and I noticed after the 2nd day that it had gotten scorched. Add another one to my ugly list. Just a reminder to myself to think before I do something so stupid.

Fortunately, I grow mine mainly for the flowers: here is the flower of the day: Schick "Infinity"
