Hi,

We are constructing a new home and have spent a ton of time trying to decide on a range. We've looked at several brands including Thermador, Viking, Wolf, American Range, Blue Star, Capital, KitchenAid, and GE Monogram. We have narrowed it down to Thermador, Viking, and Wolf. We are planning to get a 48", all gas, 6 burner with griddle range. I'm hoping to get some opinions from those who are familiar with these brands.

A bit of background: we are a family with three small children, we cook at home pretty regularly, my husband is the chef and enjoys trying new things. I prefer sticking to baking and simple meals for the kids. Of importance to us is the ability to simmer on low, the oven capacity, and the quality of the griddle.

Looking forward to having you all weigh in. Thanks in advance!
