utilizing cooking heat during the summer heat

It's hot out there.. at least for a lot of us it is.

I'm wondering about how folks deal with their kitchen heat in the middle of summer like this. Because even if you got good central AC and great hoods, summer cooking can really build up the heat. For folks without all that, gotta use up that heat to good advantage.

There are a lot of great winter casseroles- do you kill the oven 15 minutes early to the recipe time and leave it till 15 minutes later than the recipe time?

A lot of dishes call for one rack in the oven.. do you put some summer produce on a cookie sheet and utilize that oven heat to toast it up? For canning, freezing.. tomorrow nights dinner. Bake off a batch of tomorrow nights biscuits, or a batch of cookies?

Do you cook up those ribs or roast, or whatever in the crockpot and skip the oven entirely? Or do you leave the oven on at 200 instead of 300 and put up with the heat.

Do you skip the kitchen alltogether.. and instead just use it as a prep area and cook outdoors as much as you can?

How do you deal with the summer heat and cooking?
