My new hosta bed in winter - trying to figure out posting picture
Comments (2)In photobucket, click on share above the picture, then get link code, then click on HTML full size to highlight it, RIGHT click on HTML, left click on copy. You now have your photo ready to post. Go back to Hosta forum, type your message, hit return once or twice, then RIGHT click, click on paste and your photo will be there. Hit preview to see it before you hit submit. I resize my photos in photobucket to large or to fit a 15 inch screen before I post my photos. Practice a couple of times, we would love to see your photos....See MoreTrying out new camera on my indoor palms

Comments (5)I did it! I replanted the one in the pot and put the two new ones in the ground today...in the hail and rain. Phew! I can't wait till they are in bloom and I can take a photo to show them off. I put them in the bed with the others and I think they will be spectacular next spring when they burst with growth. I'm really excited about the Kaitlin Ainsley as it has gigantic and colourful hips. I should probably cut them off but I like the way they look. Darren asked if I was done for the year or if I thought I'd need new plants. Well, the fall swap is coming so I guess I'm not done!! Other than that, I think I am. All I need to learn know is how not to kill off my rose cuttings. After killing off all the cuttings Cnetter gave me, I feel kind of silly. It shouldn't be THAT hard, but somehow they always die on me. There is always next year......See MoreTrying to avoid mastic mistakes
Comments (5)Mastic on a kitchen backsplash is okay, but mastic isn;t normally used behind travertine as it can discolor the stone, resulting in a blotchy appearance. Being that your travertine is small pieces, any possibly discoloration may not be as distracting as it might be on larger tiles. I don;t use Tile Guard and am not that familiar with it, but I believe it's silicone based. And it should not be an aerosol product. Return it if it is. Mastic in a bath, again, it could be for decorative tile. But you're correct, mastic should never ever touch Kerdi, nor should mastic be used in a wet area like a shower or tub surround.
