Should I pull this plant out from my garden

Hi, there are few of these Pink Periwinkle growing in my garden since last year, I don't know where they from, and didn't care about it cos they look pretty.

Just looked up on internet and found that they are not native and are potentially weed in Northern Territory, not sure how invasive they are to the WA environment. Please give advice!

Pink Periwinkle is also known as Madagascar Periwinkle Catharanthus roseus presumably because this is where it grows naturally.

In my opinion you are wise to consider whether this species is native to your area as it is a noxious weed in WA & NT. I understand that it is gradually being removed from Orpheus Island, Queensland, where it has invaded the bushland. If you place a high value on what remains of Australian bushland you will remove the plants from your garden & encourage your neighbours to do likewise with any infestations they may have. The fact that you have a few growing since last year is perhaps a testament to its invasiveness.

It should continue to make side shoots. During the summer they shoots may start to get bitter as the weather warms up. At that point you may want to pull it, or keep cutting them off and wait to eat them until fall. I plant a second crop just for fall, here in WI I start them around mid-Aug to get a late crop.

an easier way fell into my lap, well mail box, really. 2 little boys down the road left a flyer in my mailbox and i'm having them de-weed my garden and re mulch. nice cheap labor. haha. Try to find something similar in your area.

Sorry my initial description was so bad. So when I pulled some out I saw the original clove was mushy and I was able to peel it away. I stupidly thought the original clove stayed and new cloves developed around it. I just looked up some pictures and saw 'green garlic' which is the early stages of garlic with no clove. I guess my garlic might be ok after all?

I had more herbs than I could use last year so I didnt bother to prune them at all. I am really good at starting seeds, growing then, planting and have things do well. I am NOT good at pruning and understanding that concept well- yet. I decided to completely start the back container over from scratch. This will be the one I plant parsley, basil, and cilantro in. The front one will be dedicated to herbs that come back like oregano, mint, and thyme. I know mint can be invasive, but if it gets too bad I will start from scratch again on this container too :) I cut most of the brown, hard, woody stalks out of the first one and pulled out the dead basil.
