Comments (7)Thanks. I'm not exactly convinced on that one though. The leaves look different, not just in the manner of the spirals either. Something about the color and texture look wrong too. Comments (11)Thank you kindly everyone. Rosemeadow, Grandmother's Hat is a mystery rose that was found in California. It's a Hybrid Perpetual which does very well in the heat, is very fragrant and a very good rebloomer. Quite a few people have been "enabled" to buy this rose, especially by Jeri Jenning's beautiful pictures. Mine is still quite young and I expect great things from it. Florence, I wish you could be here to see my roses now that yours are at the end of their bloom cycle. I like picturing you sitting on the deck in the warm sun and enjoying the scenery around you. Christina, thank you so much for taking the time to post all the way from India. I hope you don't melt in the heat and humidity in Madras. I'm glad you like the roses. The one in the glass is Julia Child which is looking very pretty now in the cooler weather. Masha, Aunt Margy's Rose is not supposed to get this large and I think is listed in the Rogue Valley web site as something like 2-3 feet. I have no idea why it's spread out so much here. In your climate it might very well stay much smaller. The flowers are actually bigger than I stated before, more like 1 1/2 to 2 inches. Ingrid...See MoreWANTED: opinion on recent group seed swap
