Soft Water & Reverse Osmosis in Kitchen
Comments (6)I have both, my mother (who lives in Fla) made me get it, and I am very happy with both. The drinking water is better than botteled. And I have the whole house hooked up to the softner. You can adjust how soft you want the water, so if you don't like the silky feel of it you can adjust it. We have Culligan. The RO system can be mounted under the sink and it takes up about 1/2 the width of a 30 base cabinet. If you have a basement or a crawl space under the kitchen sink you can also have the tank (which holds about 3 gallons of water) mounted there....See MoreReverse Osmosis faucet questions
Comments (3)It looks like this question is a few months old, but I am going to answer for future searchers. :) We are on well water so we installed 2 RO systems. One under the sink and one for our refrigerator. If you are concerned about your water, I would think a sink is good because you will probably use that water for cooking. The water from a refrigerator usually doesn't comes out as fast as faucets (even RO faucets, which are slower) so that is another reason for an RO at the sink. When we first installed the RO to the refrigerator, the water came out extremely slow. Painfully slow. We removed the refrigerator's filter and now it is faster. Still slower than getting water from the sink's RO faucet, but acceptable. We still mostly get the water from the sink, but it is nice to have the two systems for ice and backup water when we are using a lot. We are using the Brondell H2O+ Circle RO system. It is very easy to install and changing the filters is a breeze. It looks nice also....See MoreBest REVERSE OSMOSIS water filtering system recommendation

Comments (8)Way to spam the site @Ryan Stephen. An R/O unit is certainly possible for a small volume drinking water faucet. Other than that, I think you are out of luck. As others have pointed out, what you are suggesting would require the R/O unit to happen ahead of a separate water heater, The entire setup would be crazy expensive, and burn through filters and water. R/O water is aggressive if minerals aren't added back in. It has to be plumbed with plastic pipe. All of the plumbing and fixtures would need to be plastic. So here's a hot tip: I don't think you need a water filter as much as you need a computer filter. Deleting Facebook will remove a whole lot of contaminated thinking around fluoride in your water - not to mention virtually everything else. I'm being dead serious: when you think about actual damage and impact on your health and wellbeing - the misinformation you are getting is far worse than trace amounts of fluoride in your water....See MoreUser
