They look like ghost, maybe Naga.

I have seen ghost with bumpy skin, especially Jays varieties so calling it something else may not be true. The Green color of the young ones wont tell us what it will be later since I have seen light and dark young ones still come out red. They could still come out yellow too.

Yah, I will probably have to wait until they ripen, but the shape just doesn't look like a ghost. Too long and skinny IMO. But, then maybe that is how the yellow Ghost is. I don't know, but photos on line tell me they are not quite right.

I am just tired of trying to grow Ghosts and having them come out wrong. I have never had this problem with other varieties. Even with a dud my first try at Carolina Reapers, it looks like I have a winner this year. Ghost peppers just shouldn't be that hard.

You got the seeds from an exchange, so there's always the possibility that you have a cross.

Yes, I realize that. Just dumb luck that I can't seem to get a Bhut to grow true. I don't have this kind of problem with other varieties.

FWIW, when I grew ghosts a while back, they didn't seem to grow true, either. They were larger than I had expected. Still hot as f#$% though. and in the end that's all I care about. :)

They look to be right on point for yellow Ghost. I had remembered that Josh posted a few years back of his yellow ghost.

These look exactly like Yellow Ghosts, Bruce.

This is how Ghosts - Bhuts - should look. Long, slender, and bumpy.

bluevano, I use the one from All Recipes, the habanero/pineapple glaze is incredible. I plan on trying it with the chocolate scorpions I have. I change it a little to make it more'chunky' (add more habs and chop them up tiny) and then paint the ribs or steak on the bbq with it.

Lol, it is lip smackin good! I've done a fast version of it by chopping up a pineapple and saute it in butter on low heat to break it down, add brown sugar, get it gooey and then toss in the middle ced peppers. It is a helluva mess, but.....mmm mmm good. I like the glaze to be thick and caramel like and then slow cook the ribs/steak.

@Bluevano this is my glaze for the BBQ tonight, pork chops.

Crushed a pineapple, red onion, 3 habs, 1 bhut, 1/2 cuo brown sugar, 1/2 stick of butter, yellow mustard, and balsamic. Been reducing for an hour....tasty for sure.
