Comments (17)Thanks Jasdip. Many of my building shots are angled because, well, because I'm really short. LOL BA is indeed a clean and wonderful place and would go back in a heartbeat if offered the chance (without paying the $1000 to get there :-) Jodi-...See MoreI'll Show You Mine, If You'll Show Me Yours, Saturday July 19
Comments (17)A Gourd Story~ My wonderful neighbor grows beautiful gourds...among other things. She brought a few to me last winter to "spiffy up" a bit and use for the chick-a-dees and wrens to nest. I had great and wonderful ideas on sanding and painting them and making them so gorgeous that no chick-a-dee in their right mind could possibly pass them up. Well, until I got around to the "spiffy-ing up" I asked DH to store them in the tool shed...with hopes to soon make them adorable. So since it so unbeliveably hot and humid around here right now I thought this would be the perfect time to get started.....working indoors and staying nice and cool. I go to the tool shed this morning to get the gourds and work my magic....and lo and behold, it seems I waited too long to get this project under way. The tool shed mice evidently had other plans for the gourds.....they have nearly devoured two of them and are nesting in the others...LOL. Guess the chick-a-dees will have to wait for those new condos........ Lovely Chick-a-dee and Wren Condos (still in rough planning stage) Doesn't everyone have one of these..... ......... LOL...See MoreI'll Show You Mine if You Show Me Yours Sun June 19
Comments (14)We had some really rough weather the other day. I came home to branches from the trees all over the yard, flower pots blown over, and a baby bird out of its nest. I actually walked past it the first time I was cleaning up flower pots. Once I saw it, I went inside and left it alone. I heard it chirping and I sat back to see what would happen. Typical teenager. It only wanted food! ;)...See MoreI'll Show You Mine if You Show Me Yours Tues July 19
Comments (28)Bob, that photo is really great. You should submit it to a nature magazine, like Birds and Blooms maybe. Oh I hate bald faced hornets. They are soooo aggressive. I had a bunch chase me the house one day and when I slammed the screen door they were hanging on to the screen! I inadvertently mowed under their big nest they were building under the eaves of the old outhouse. The spider in your photo with the green - I don't think I've ever seen that before....See Morenicole___
