Border Blessed, like David said in his post, sometimes has trouble opening. It opens well only 75% of the time here, even with steady heat. But when the blooms do open well, they are fantastic. I'm hoping for a higher percentage of good openings once the plant is established.

Pink Lemonade Party reblooming - a new one I received this spring. The first round of blooms were destroyed by thrips in May, so I'm glad all three fans have rebloom scapes. I bought this one on the recommendation of Gardenweb member Linda, who had good results hybridizing with it. I like the white/ivory edge.

I wanted to cross Pink Lemonade Party with Seedling NA X SOP, which is still blooming. Unfortunately with temps in the high 90s for the forseeable future, the seed won't set. Maybe next year.

Willow Dean Smith, finally looking more pink than lavender

Kentucky Lucky - This one is heavily budded on top and occasionally some blooms don't open well because of it. I don't notice that most days. KL is like a Reckamp on steroids with much larger, rounder blooms and better substance.

Best for Last still going strong. I can decide which of these two Rice lates I like best this season. Both BFL and Kent. Lucky put on a very nice show, and both rebloom here. Best for Last already has one rebloom scape coming.

Indy Hustler, another late, just started blooming on Wed.

Beauties as usual. Border Blessed and Willow Dean Smith are my favorites....loved the Best For Last clump, and Shelby is always a favorite.

Wow! Is that good on Crimson Reflections. When heat goes up to the triple digit mark it's separates the men from the boys so to speak. Since I don't have many eyed daylilies that might be one to look at....Shelby is always a star when you photograph her....I got Pink Lemonade Party this spring also. It was not an oversized plant to begin with, but it bloomed this spring so hopefully it will gain size. I definitely liked the color, a true daylily pink, and the form. No sign of rebloom. Lucky you. I like the idea of the cross. .....Maryl

I bought the Indy's last year when I was at Delano Daylilies in Tennessee so I was actually looking at the flowers and not at the information about it. I don't remember now, but it might have been my husband that picked them out. I don't know if this is how it is at other daylily farms, but there you walk thru and mark what you want and they dig the whole clump for you. Klondike is big and holds up so well in our heat, often seeming to look better later in the day.

Thanks everyone! Kentucky, I always capture roses in their early stages because that is when they are most fragrant for me as well. Sharlene, Peace blooms are always interesting I can never get tired of this rose.

Yes, Kristine you do need La France. Carol, so far I've only detected a light fragrance with TS, but that often changes for me as a rose becomes more established. HMF says it has a strong licorice fragrance.

Beautiful photos! I picked up LE-Karusel at a recent show. It appears to have the thumbprint gene. If grown too cool, the blossoms may be mostly white. Too warm and it may shift to predominantly cherry red. Mine has a good color balance presently.

Maryl - I didn't back in town until afternoon, so I don't know what Crimson Reflections looked like this morning. When it first bloomed in late May/early June the petal color was more of a true pink. Today's 5 p.m. bloom was a peachy pink, and the "red" eye and edge looked purple red. The substance of the daylily is nice and thick, so it should stand up to heat pretty well. Great minds do think alike on these pinks. I think the color of Pink Lemonade Party is excellent, and the bloom stood the heat pretty well on Tuesday. My plant arrived in late April with two large fans. And it multiplied by one fan after it bloomed.

love your clump of Willow Dean Smith. I am always impressed with photos of Shelby, yours is great. I think I have to put it on my list.

Sherry I I highly recommend Willow Dean Smith. Shelby has a unique and beautiful bloom. It is slow to establish and the strong winds will take the scapes down.

I am a big fan of the lates so I always enjoy seeing new ones. You have some beauties that I don't have. They all have my interest, especially Best for Last & Kentucky Lucky. Border Blessed is always a mess here, rarely ever opening right. This is it's last year here. Willow Dean Smith is simply divine.

Celeste - All three of those Rice intros (Best for Last, Kentucky Lucky, and Willow Dean Smith) are outstanding plants. I doubt that Border Blessed would be a good plant for the north. I would think the blooms would hang terribly after cool nights. Since I had more open well than not, I'm hopeful that it will be OK here most of the time. The blooms are so gorgeous. I do love the recurving!

Maryl - Any and all of my pink seedlings will go on Pink Lemonade Party next year. Valentine Sweetheart is so good (bloom and instant rebloom) that I put its strong pollen on pinks, lavenders, purples and reds last year and this year.

Border Blessed is really pretty there, & I really like KY Lucky.My favorite may be Shelby though.

Pink Lemonade Party is exceptionally pretty <3 Too many pinks to choose from, but that and Best for Last really stand out in this great group.
