Big difference. Little Bunny is a dwarf fountain grass (Pennisetum) , and will only get about 8-12" tall, not counting the flowers. It stays very compact, and is slow to leaf out in spring. Little Kitten is a Miscanthus variety and will eventually grow about 2-2 1/2' tall and wide, not counting flowers. It is not as compact as LB and has more of a weeping appearance. Also slow to leaf out, but not as slow as LB. LK is small for a Miscanthus, but much larger than LB. If you are looking for small grasses, don't overlook Blue Fescue, Festuca glauca, one of the finest grasses available and very easy to find for cheap prices. Also easy to grow from seed. Plus it's evergreen.

ReptiTherms are good, reliable heaters and should last years if you treat them right. Attach them to something stiff. They won't tolerate being bent back and forth like a medical heat pad. They're made to be stuck to the underside of a aquariums. Other heaters will work just as well, I'm sure. I also have seed warmers. They don't get nearly warm enough. And I use a microwaveable disk, but it has to be microwaved several times a day. Medical heat pads are warm enough, but newer ones shut off automatically after an hour. Reptitherms are available in different sizes, which is nice. The small one could even be stuck to the side of a pot. Other reptile heaters like heat rocks and so on might work. I might even try adding top heat, like a thermal bulb or ceramic heater to see if that helps even more.

Thanks everyone :) Carol, the hydrangeas are limelights that we spray painted blue. Over 300 blooms. It was much easier to arrange ahead of time using dried flowers.

I just went through the garlic listing in SSE's 2017 Yearbook. Most of the stock I presently grow came from other collectors there. Two of the varieties I lost in the 2012 aster yellows outbreak - Chrysalis Purple and Carpati - are now listed, so this will complete the restoration of my previous collection. Heritage Farm also had two other varieties that have been on my 'want' list for several years. Barring crop failures, they will all be shipped in the Fall. The garlic bed is already about the largest that I can maintain, so to make room for the new arrivals, I will be eliminating a few of the varieties this Fall which have failed to size up. Best case scenario, they all do well... in which case, it will be a tough decision. Several garlic collectors with large collections have dropped out of SSE in recent years, so SSE itself has been offering more varieties from its preservation collection to fill the gaps. This suits me fine, since I know garlic from their collection is free from some of the garlic pests & diseases (such as garlic bloat nematode) that might be present from other sources.
