We call "sneaking a cutting " stealing. If that's your normal behavior (your word, not mine), do you act that way at your friends' homes, a favorite restaurant, a local botanical garden, or (even worse) a garden center? Businesses like the swank office building will use the services of a florist or interiorscaping firm. Witb a little bit of sleuthing, a person could track down the name of that company and, contact them, and ask for the identity of the plant you admire. Then, you can obtain the plant the way that the rest of us do....we buy it. Can't afford all of the plants that you'd like to have? Do without until you can. THAT'S "normal "! As far as the identity of the plant goes, I'm tempted to say that it's one of the new Aglaonema cultivars. If Toni, sees this post, she is a likely candidate to be able to ID the plant....and probably tell you some good mail order options.

Hi Norma! You are too kind! And I am honored to have your help! Well, I didn't mention earlier, the leaf is shrinking. It does get bright sun, in a south window, but it is down on a table, not up near the glass. It's about 3 feet from glass. I just looked at it, and more leaves are turning color. And now that i think about it, we have been about 10 degrees warmer than norm. and sunny! We did have about 2 weeks of cloudy. So maybe the sudden sun was too much for it.? I have been watering it slightly, about every 10 days,it gets totally dry inbetween. Maybe it's too dry.? I will water it a little more often. It is a Haworthia reticulata v. subregularis It is growing in a mix made special for a nursury here that grows native cactus and succulents. They have it made for them and sell some to public, Not heavy in peat and drains pretty good. I have about 50 plants in it with no problems. I will move it so it's not getting so much sun too. Unfortunately I think you're right, everything I've searched for so far points to herbicide damage. It's completely my own fault too I think. I thought I was careful and and was avoiding drift. Thanks for the sites though they're really helpful. I still can't figure out if my plants are salvageable or if I should tear them out and plant new. I don't want to keep growing them if they've been permanently damaged or unsafe to consume.

Hey, anoushehnawaz, I'm one of the community gardeners there, and am quite familiar with those wisterias. Those vines were planted there when the garden was built over a decade ago. The purple one in the foreground was abused and neglected for many years, and seemed likely to expire until "someone" started to try and train it to grow up and around the post. This is the first year it has bloomed to any significant extent. The white one is an awesomely rambunctious grower, and receives no care or pruning whatever, except where the branches droop down into the pathway it's planted next to. There's actually a purple-flowered variety mixed in with the white, but it's totally overwhelmed by the other.
