The solenoid is on top of your electric valve. If its a new install you probably have something wired wrong. You can test the solenoid with an OHM meter and if it reads between 20-50 with the power off the solenoid is fine.

The Platinum line is a "secure" door, so it installs on the outside of your house door, not within the jambs/head (e.g. brickmould). And part of that security is having a fixed 4 sided frame, which includes the threshold. If you do not like the extra threshold beyond your house door, then you will have to buy a different style of door.

Hey, Ruth-Ann, I love red oak and your wood trim. I don't think you need to replace it at all. We're looking for balance, not obliteration, right? I also have been looking a greys and browns. I am making a bathroom where I used to have a laundry room, and my blue and brown tile turned out to be more grey and brown in my lighting than in the showroom. But it grew on me. It became a camelion, depending on what colors I put near it. And even alone it's so pretty. Here is a discussion about the tile. My point is that these colors seem to work well with grey and brown. There's also a lot of white in the tile. It's a sophisticated combination too. Maybe you would like those colors in your bedroom/bathroom? I think sometimes it's helpful to layer colors too by including light and dark, bright and dull versions of our colors. For example: moss green and chartreuse; indigo and French blue; red oak already has layers. We've been talking about including warm and cool colors: grey/white and brown; blue and yellow-greens. To add cool colors is to add blues and relatives, including blue-grey, and cool whites. You just need to pay attention to the blues that you react positively to and incorporate those all over the house... And keep your wood. :-)

I'm betting your sink is leaking. There are probably no clips between the rear of the cabinet front and the sink. The steel on the flat of the divided sink is flexing, allowing dirty sink water to get sucked between the sink flange and the bottom of the top through capillary action. Open your dishwasher and see if you see a 1/4" yellow line heading toward the sink. That would be a reinforcement rod that's going to rust and burst your countertop. I get a call a week for this and fix a couple every month. Drop the sink and take a Bernz-O-Matic to the stone until it's dried. Clean the sink flange and stone bottom, silicone, and strap, not clip or block, your sink in place. May as well replace it with a single bowl while you're at it.
