What Sea animal is this?

This animal was flowing in sea water and whenever it was picked up out of it it would become really thin however when put back in the sea it became long and thick. It is brown and has white spots and is alive since you could see it breathing. Does anyone know what animal this is?

It's a Sea Cucumber, an invertebrate that feeds on decaying organic matter. There are many different species. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_cucumber

I know this was from a long time ago.... It IS caterpillar scat that has rehydrated from the water in the bowl. cater pillars "launch" it either 4 or 40 times their body length. I can't remember which. This is thought to be done to keep predators like wasps from finding their nest and larvae. I had one bounce off my head and land on the patio table. I thought it was a squirrel pellet till I noticed the lobed, extruded look to it and searched till I found what it was. Probably will not harm the animals.... It's plant matter.

What a perfect package for Lars, and the potholders were even from Texas, what a great coincidence. I love the pie potholder Carol sent me, and the pizza one is just great too. Insurance will more than likely pay for a new building. Hopefully donations will be rolling in to their local rescues to step in and help until homeless animals have a new shelter. I'd be curious to know how this plays out. I feel so sorry for the way those kitties died. I imagine the dogs need a place to go, and hopefully other shelters and rescues will be able to lend a hand. It really is amazing to me how in times of disaster, people can pull together and get things done.

'm glad I'm not alone here. There are ELEVEN HOURS in a row of Dirty Jobs today. My Cat from Hell is my favorite and I used to really like It's Me or the Dog. She was such a good dog trainer. I always thought they should bring Victoria Stilwell on Bad Dog o coach them how to train their dogs or rename Bad Dog stupid, lazy owners. If you're going to own a dog you have to train it, at least know how to care for it. I used to have Animal Planet on all day on Saturday but not anymore. Time Warner has now added new channels to show shows like Hoarding, I Didn't know I was Pregnant, Sex sent me to the ER, ER in different cities. 500 Pound people. Please send the Nude people to one of the porn channels.
