Do I need another avocado tree to pollinate my current tree?

Aloha avocado aficionados,

I have a small, potted Littlecado (Wurtz) tree. I just bought it about six months ago and it is in a big planter outside in my backyard. The other day, I bought an avocado at the farmer's market, and amongst all of the noise, I thought I overheard two other customers talking about cross-pollination amongst avocados. Does a Wurtz avocado need another avocado tree to pollinate and produce avocados? I know this depends on the type of tree. I'll get another tree if I have to, but I'll have to keep it potted. If I need another tree, what type of avocado do you recommend? I like the taste of a traditional, super-market Hass, but whatever tree I get next, I must be able to keep it in a planter.

Any advice?
