My Hubs is brilliant, the most ethical person I know, and he loves me completely. He is fiercely protective of me. He has a great sense of humor, and we truly enjoy being together.

I'm a SAHM, a decision that we made together as we felt it was best for us and my DH works so hard to make that happen financially. That isn't something that can be done by just one partner - it was very much a joint effort. Our kids are older now but I always appreciated the time that he also took out to be a Cub leader, and he was that Dad who would pile a bunch of kids into the van to take them skiing.

Oh and socks and sandals - he did see the error of his ways on that one - although I might have pointed it to him a time or two.

After 37 years together, married 34, he can still make me laugh even though he is the worst joke teller ever. He's a great dad and for many years he traveled during the week but almost always gave me a break from the kids on the weekend by taking them to the park, a ballgame, etc. He has a sunny disposition and doesn't let things get him down.

Well my husband married me with my 2 girls aged 6 & 7 at the time along with 2 cats & 1 dog. He has been the father they never had. Not only did he learn to braid hair but he learned to French braid. And we laugh every day!!

My late husband could always make me laugh. Oh, and he could cook. I love a man who can cook.

My husband is a self proclaimed nerd and likes to laugh in spite of himself. This is his newest fashion faux paux, while working in the yard he now takes the bottom of his gym pants and tucks them into the tops of his socks. LOL He says it's to keep bugs from going up his pants! What I also appreciate though is that we are opposites for a lot of things but have the same value system which makes us a very good team.

My DH is smart, hard working, in great shape & has great taste.....yes even in clothes. The thing we've been teasing about lately is the cat. He thinks our kitty is immensely funny......and when he's dragging a feather on a stick around the house....I'm laughing! :0)

I'm secretly going to type this out just so the hubby doesn't see this. LOL My husband really goes above and beyond for me. Not only does he work long hours so that I can have my dream of being a farmer, but he helps with farm work as well. He makes me laugh on the daily. He's more intelligent than I am with quite a few things, but looses gracefully when I kick his butt (like almost every single time) we play Risk. He'll do the most ridiculous things like try and ride our steer and our sense of humor is so in sync it's scary. I love that I'm just as attracted to him now as I was almost 17 years ago when we met. And I love that he still makes me feel like he's attracted to me. Oddly enough, the first night we met, what drew me to him was playing the game Mind Trap. I thought to myself, "this is the most intelligent guy I've ever met." See the key is to marry someone more intelligent and good looking then you to improve your future children's gene pool. ;)

I'm bumping this up because too many people pick at the negative about their partner and don't focus on all the positives.

I thought of another last night when I went to bed with cold feet. My husband always takes my feet between his and warms them up. I do the same for him. Sometimes it's the really small things that tell someone you love them.

Thank you littlemonkey3, I agree...my dh always carries a glass of water up the stairs for my night stand when we go to bed. We do that foot warming thing a lot during the winter too...it's the best

Mine is a keeper, too. For 48 years, I took very good care of him (24+USMC,24+ California State) and never did I dream that the tables would be turned. He very often sings little tunes from waaaay back, or makes them up as he seranades me and makes me smile. Now days he does so many little things that I can't do....not cook or clean much and is a work in progress there, but he does his best.

Ooooh that E for effort makes all the difference in the world doesn't it nanny98? 48 years is a long time, congrats on that, he obviously considers you a keeper too!

He makes and changes the bed. He enjoys doing it and loves it because the cats "help him". I cook, he does the dishes. (no dishwasher). When the dishes are done he plugs in the kettle and makes my tea.

Cold feet? That's me, and he is one big heating blanket and it only takes a couple of minutes for me to warm up.

The weirdest thing that used to make me laugh and shake my head about DH? He'd be in the kitchen and I'd be working in my office two rooms away and I'd hear "Hey, hon, have you seen the ketchup?" I had heard the refrigerator doors open (french doors - the big picture so to speak) and without even thinking, I'd yell back "Lower bin on the left hand door [under my breath - "where it always is"] "OH, WOW, there it is! Thanks, hon." I'd just crack up. Every time.

And have him cook dinner. He did that every night. For 28 years. I miss him.
