Weed or wild flower purple flowers
Comments (3)Thanks so much! This weekend I am headed to a nursery that sells native plants. To plant my hillside next to our waterfall we put in. May have to transplant this one. It really is a good size and has a lot of blooms....See Morewild flower/weed...?
Comments (7)It was a coincidence & I find this experience of mine worth sharing.. We are relocating our residential place and I was there (at our new place) in the evening of 4th August just to check whether everything over there is okay.. when I came out of the house, few pinkish purple flowers on a purple green plant caught my attention, these flowers were exactly the same shape as in the pic above just the color was different.. Next morning I saw the post and it was like a sort of Déjà vu... I didn't knew the name of the plant so I googled "Purple wild flower" and on the last pages of image search I found what I was looking for, checked its other species and got the possible ID.. :) Izhar...See MoreIs this weed or the wild flower?
Comments (4)It looks really nice!!! despite the bugs but the plants I have are a native bienniel species called Oenothera hookeri. Looks much like yours except it is not so prostrate but grows tall. Leaf texture looks almost identical. Your will know when it flowers: always in 4 parts (4 petals, 4 sepals-it is in the family Onagraceae) Post an image when it flowers!! The plant I am standing next to is it! Here is a link that might be useful:...See Moreweed or wild flower
