No. Oil is a fat. Extract is made with alcohol. Extract is for flavoring. Oil is for shortening or frying. Unless you meant concentrated Bitter Almond Oil? (which is almond flavored, not the true kind that's poisonous?) You could use a few drops of that. Check the maker's website for quantity.

If you're looking for almond flavor, you can substitute Amaretto liqueur for extract. It also has sugar in it, and isn't as concentrated. I've read to use up to two TBSP Amaretto for half a tsp of extract, though I don't know if that's a thoroughly tested measure. You could do it to your own taste.

You could, instead, use vanilla extract, up to double the listed measure.

Thanks for responses. No idea why I have almond oil, but will find uses for it.

I keep almond oil in the fridge for a skin care addy. I make all my lotions and oils. Most nut oils have some health benefits but they are often hyped to extreme. I mix it with others.

Keep it in the fridge or toss it if it is old and smells like dirty socks, lol. (i must have it in the fridge for a reason along with other oils with less good shelf lives.)

Fine in a salad dressing. Most have no scent of almond at all. Very neutral.

I picked up avocado oil for no reason recently other than it jumped off the shelf into my cart without notice. It is very neutral and has a high heat use. I'm using it in place of mild olive oil with coconut oil as a blend.
