Help with rose ID

This is a rose that my husband dug at our son's house. (my son did not want to mess with any roses) It was a very large, tall, narrow rose at his house. The canes were big-maybe 3/4" in diameter. When it bloomed at his house, I remember the flowers being orange and yellow. I have the bush now. It is a one cane bush-it has been planted here for a little over a year. It is not growing much or putting out new canes. Some of the canes it came with turned brown and they are dead. It blooms once in a while. This is a photo of the latest bloom. The bloom shattered only a few days after opening. Does anyone know what rose this is? (having trouble uploading photos from Photo Booth on my apple.) don't know why

It's beautiful and looks like Jude the Obscure to me. Did you see the bush the cutting came from? The size and shape would help to ID your rose. Opinions on the fragrance of Jude are all over the place, but most agree it is strong and the Austin site says "fruity". In any case, I bet it is an Austiin rose. You could look at the David Austin website https://www.davidaustinroses.com/us/roses-by-type/english-roses and compare your rose to similar ones. Some to look at are Wollerton Old Hall, Desdemona and Claire Austin, all creamier colors, but can become more apricot or peach during cold weather. Sometimes I can hardly tell Desdemona and Jude apart.

Suzanne - all the ones that are open do have the yellow center/stamens. The flowers seem to be all single on the end of the growing stem, so I thought maybe hybrid tea too - but it's very "shrubby" if that's even a word. I will look those two up and compare! Thank you.

K S, I am leaning toward Constance Spry also. The only exception to CS is that helpmefind lists the fragrance as mild myrrh but my mom says the fragrance is strong fruity. mad gallica, she lives along Lake Erie in Erie Pennsylvania. Lilyfinch, thanks! I agree completely! Can you believe my mom never prunes or fertilizes it? It’s a vigorous, healthy bloomer with NO maintenance. 😮 Steven, thanks for your thoughts! I am really leaning toward Constance Spry also. Do you happen to have experience with her? Also, I hadn’t considered Dr Huey for the red/pink. You don’t think it could be him?

I cannot figure out why photos will not upload from my Apple laptop. I have to upload them to Houzz, then put here.

Houzz certainly changed the upload procedure. I have to use the Houzz Photo button to avoid uploading them to an album and then to the forum.

Hope you post more pictures of this rose as it matures. Maybe someone will recognize it when the orange shows up.
