My FIL gave me a big Orange Egg, (he calls it the hibachi) which he acquired when he was in Okinawa with the USAF. It has been the center of many family cook-outs.

Say, that is one spiffy stove! Made me smile, and off hand, I don't know if I have ever looked at an appliance that did that. So take that for what it's worth. lol Enjoy your new beauty!

Very nice! Could you tell me what size your stainless backsplash is-- looks like 30 x 20 or so? (I need something similar behind a utility sink and I'm not sure where to go for it or how much it might cost. Or what thickness to specify.)

stunning stove and that red is fabulous next to your cabinets.

Lori, the backsplash is 30x24, and my brother bought it on-line. It has a rolled edge; the metal is 1/16" thick, but the edge is a bit over 1/8" thick. We installed it with Lock-Tite adhesive, recommended by the manufacturer. We bought one tube that looked fairly large, but we ended up using all of it and I thought perhaps we should have bought two tubes. It was fairly easy to install, using instructions I found on-line.

Ditto what Fori said about the red looking good next to the maple. I thought the same thing, and after seeing the last shot where more cabinet is included I like it even more. I will remember this for future recommendation. Really nice.

I agree with the sports car comment, especially since the range was painted by Ferrari, which is just down the street from the Bertazzoni factory. I was told that Ferrari does all of the colors for Bertazzoni. Since I cannot afford a Ferrari (plus that would be too dangerous), at least I can have a sporty range.

I plan to bake this week-end, I used the stove top last night, and I should have adjusted the low setting on the burners first, which I know I need to do. The installers were unable to do that, but it is a simple adjustment using a screwdriver. I do plan to give reviews once I have used it sufficiently. I could not find enough reviews myself before getting it, but the color options were the clincher. I do like the way it fits in the space much better - it does not stick out from the counters the way my previous range did, and I like the low back, which makes my own one look very obsolete, although it did require me to put up the back splash.

Way to go Lars. It looks great. Loved my Berta. But with the red, and in your kitchen, it's a statement stove! It looks very well installed.

Wow…love the red with your cabinets & the SS backsplash! The Kuba cloth on the window is stunning. What a beautiful kitchen to be cooking in. I am installing a cranberry AGA with my kitchen remodel. Plan on using a mahogany finish on the new cabinets & SS backsplash up to the hood. Thanks for sharing!

Fldirt: Here is a photo of a cranberry AGA, and the cabinets, walls, and backsplash are similar to mine - I love the cranberry hood but don't feel like I need the dishwasher and fridge to be the same color, although they are nice. However, the floor in this picture is exactly what I wanted for my kitchen, but we just could not replace the floor at this stage. I've always wanted a slate floor in my kitchen, but this is the first one I've seen (I haven't been looking for one, however). I do think mahogany will look really good with cranberry and SS. I like the richness of color in the AGA photo - you can tell that I am not afraid of color! The countertop looks like mine also, although mine is usually not that cluttered!

Thanks for the picture of the AGA. I love the slate floors. I have terrazzo floors in my house so won't replace them but we are getting them diamond ground to bring them back to life. I am using a SS hood with some black on it to tie it in with my other appliance. I think all appliance in one color is too much for me also..But I love seeing someone else using color ranges! Makes me think I'm not crazy as my friends think I am! ha ha. Your kitchen is stunning…hope mine comes out as nice as yours is!
