I am trying to decide on a range for my new kitchen in my 100+ year old house. My requirements are simple: no stainless, choice of enameled colors other than black/red/bright white, dual-fuel a must, 48", french-top or griddle, and self-cleaning & brass accents a plus also.
I've ruled out:
5-Star; I found the knobs too "cheap".
LaCanche Cluny 1400; just can't fit it in & ovens are small
Now I have found
ILVE Majestic with all the options except self clean and
Bertazzoni Heritage which will have a dual fuel 48"model in the fall 2009.
