Hi Norma! You are too kind! And I am honored to have your help! Well, I didn't mention earlier, the leaf is shrinking. It does get bright sun, in a south window, but it is down on a table, not up near the glass. It's about 3 feet from glass. I just looked at it, and more leaves are turning color. And now that i think about it, we have been about 10 degrees warmer than norm. and sunny! We did have about 2 weeks of cloudy. So maybe the sudden sun was too much for it.? I have been watering it slightly, about every 10 days,it gets totally dry inbetween. Maybe it's too dry.? I will water it a little more often. It is a Haworthia reticulata v. subregularis It is growing in a mix made special for a nursury here that grows native cactus and succulents. They have it made for them and sell some to public, Not heavy in peat and drains pretty good. I have about 50 plants in it with no problems. I will move it so it's not getting so much sun too. OCwormgirl is correct. Tradescantia pallida, aka setcreasea pallida, or setcreasea purpurea, is a hardy, vigorous groundcover where you want it. It has recently become increasingly common in drought-tolerant plantings in highway median strips. Unfortunately, it is also a hardy, vigorous groundcover where you don't want it. And it has a mind of its own as to where it spreads. Since your "almost mine" home in not yet fully yours, I would certainly have your real estate agent take up the matter with the sellers. It is likely that you can compel them to eradicate this plant before closing, the same as if it were termites or vermin. Don't let anyone tell you it's no big deal. (Remember that the sellers, their agent, and even your agent have every reason--$$-to downplay this.) The fact that it is at your foundation is especially concerning. Good luck. Kay

I cannot find any images, either, most likely due to the fact that the insect deposits the eggs directly into plant stems. Look for this eggs near the shoot tip on host plants. One description described them as 'banana-shaped', laid in groups of 6 or so, in slits along the stem. They over winter as eggs, so good housekeeping is important. Look for their egg clusters in the winter and prune them out.
