To call something "Organic" in the US requires approval by the NOSB. To call something "Organic based", "Highly Organic", "Natural" and other terms does not. If it isn't certified organic it probably isn't organic. Doesn't mean it is bad stuff, it just means that without the label and without any info on it, you can't know. Espoma products like Holly-Tone and Garden-Tone use the "Organic based" label and it's accurate as most of the stuff in the product is organic, but they use a pinch or two of synthetic fertilizer as well which is why they can't get the organic label. Are Espoma products bad? I don't think so, but others wish to be 100% organic either due to personal preference or the need to retain/achieve certification. To each their own, but I would never use a product that didn't list the ingredients on the package.

Maybe, though, I could apply it around the sink/faucet alone (if it can go over previously oiled surfaces....) Kateskouros - the pendants are from Home Depot! I really, really like them - shiny, but practical as the glass cylinder can be cleaned somewhat easily. I think that their are made by Bazz (?) And since they are transparent, they don't block views and don't feel heavy. Redroze - it is rather freshly oiled, as IKEA suggests a rather heavy maintenance schedule for the first two months. Now, after seeing how happy wood can be, I feel that I ought to appologize to my other rather neglected cutting boards. What I especially love about mineral oil is that it isn't combustible. I don't care what anyway says, chopping on a surface where the rags used to apply the product cannot be put into the dryer and are spontaneously combustible, seems rather unappetizing to me. I did find that the oil raised the grain, so I knocked it down with a super fine sanding block, and it is silky again. The first night that we had it, I put a hot pizza (on carboard) on it and found that it raised the grain oddly. but I oiled it, sanded it, seems fine. I think that it will take some getting used to, chopping/cutting on the counter. I've been so used to NOT doing that, all these years :)

Oh before forget there is black stain at bottom of toilet bowl ... I noticed simlar at local Farm store ladies public restroom toilets lastyear when we first moved here. One with the 50 polymicron sediment filter and the other with the poly outside carbon inner 25 micron filter unit Missed out on the state testing.... Mailed in one too(big national company) the results came back..... guy recommended reverse osmosis for drinking and a softener....... Berkey is my countertop system..... The one, whole house filter,had one temporarily on just the wash machine line for 2 weeks. I was tired of going to the laundromat.... for almost a year.... also still have one the nice carbon shower filter... Hubby took off that whole filter and housing and took a magnet to it.... he got some rust off He than placed that two week old filter cartridge and unit as the 2nd of the two units..... side by side int he crawlspace right after the water from the pump enters the house.... I guess that is normal... the rust that is,, and some sediment We do not know the age of the well etc... so far just two kitchen type sinks, one lavatory and one toilet.l..and a shower. and a portable old dishwasher.... The buyer forwarded the entire inspection report to our realtor directly--not through her realtor-- did not include any monetary renumeration to cover the lists of comments the inspector had... just the comment "I hope the sellers will work with me on these items" What does that mean... our realtor sent the email with the inspection report this morning she has been in meeting and hasn't called us to discuss... I think some of these finding are incorrect he cited two leaks--one under kitchen sink, one under master bath sink I went to the house and checked both-- The master bath sink did have leak--probably from when my husband did some make ready to get the drain stopper to work better...he had to disconnect one of the plastic conduit lines and that is where the link is so he can tighten that connection But I found no leak under kitchen sink--ran garbage disposal with water, ran dishwasher, ran water into both sides of the sink and had paper towels inside on cabinet base---nothing showed... He said the link was at sink drain...nothing... Cited three windows that would not open-- all windows opened as of 3 weeks ago when we had windows washed... so I think they were difficult to open maybe but functional...didn't know about that when I was at the house to check but we can do it later today and other stuff...like gutters had leaves Folks--it is fall---there are 3 pecan trees on the lot and other trees plus ones in the neighborhood... we cleaned the gutters and downspouts 3-4 weeks ago before house went into MLS-- of course there are leaves in the gutter now--we didn't clean them daily... They will be there until spring starts... that just seems to be going out of his way to point out problem that anyone with trees and gutters would have... And the stuff I thought he would take issue with--like some My question is do we say YOU set a monetary value to these items or tell us which ones you consider important enough to have remediated before you complete the contract? I think this is really snarky way to negotiate and I really don't like this buyer but I am more emotional than my husband... I don't want to give her any concessions since I think we took a big enough drop in the contract price... but have friend who is builder who said that you don't want to get into a line by liine, item by item fight... he said make it lump sum value to cover all problems and she takes care of them... I just think some of what the inspector has listed are borderline bogus just to improve her bargaining position-- that she likely knows him because of her job at mortgage company or though her mom, the realtor, Suggestions?
