Wall color for dark gray couch with yellow accent pillows
Comments (8)I would change out the pillows on the sofa (or at least add a pillow) that has a print with some of the blue you want to incorporate into the room. I would do a lighter gray on the walls in the living room with a darker version of the blue on the accent wall, then I'd carry the lighter blue into the kitchen. I love yellow but I would only use it for accents on fabrics or art because its hard to find a yellow wall color like the one in your pillows that works well on walls. It is usually either too stark or too bright....See MoreWhat couch color compliments gray walls and dark hardwood floors?
Comments (8)Hard without knowing exact shades and your style and the whole concept you're going for, so totally agree with others-nothing will be as helpful as seeing your pics Without that crucial info-I can tell you so many colors your leather can be and work beautifully..whites/off whites, tan, blue, purple, green, pink..you see what's happening here? too many possibilities(and lascatx is right-generally speaking, you pay more if you want more "non-standard" color, not always but in most cases..not without exceptions though, and Macy's, with its limited choice, is indeed an exeption, somewhat. ) but many possibilities are nice to have too:) I personally love leather in colors..and find it much more versatile to use against different backgrounds/with many pallettes, than, say, something like black. (coming from someone who has more leather seating than she'd like to have lol..I've aubergine, off white, sunflower yellow, brick red..ready to switch some of these, at this point, frankly..I covered couple of armchairs as to have other textures, you know. they're obviously not situated in one room either..but one gets tired of leather after 20 years, even though of course it's immensely user friendly))) please post your pics if you want more specific advice/suggestions of stores, etc and whatever your style is-the lines is the most important thing (well and quality of course)..pleasing lines, good lines, whatever color you go for...See MoreHelp! Dark gray furniture area rug choice
Comments (5)Solid gives you more decor options. You can always go into pattern with your accessories, rug, and wall decor, and it's cheaper to change than furniture. For ideas, put in top search box: dark gray couch in photos. Also, think of the balance in your room - how many dark color pieces do you have? How many light color pieces? How many medium color pieces? I get very little natural light in my living room, so I like mostly light colors there. I have an eclectic decor, and I have a lot of different colors in my accessories - that's where you can go nuts! What is your style? Put in top search box: transitional, casual, rustic, eclectic, etc....See MoreGray Wainscot with Pale Yellow Walls?
Comments (13)The color looks like it could be a bit vibrant for the room on their website, but that also depends on what the light (both natural and artificial) is like in the room as well as the finish of the paint. I think either way, though, a matte finish would look best. If the room is bright, this will help tame the brightness of the yellow and if it is a darker room, this will be able to help the artificial lighting be cast more softly around the room....See Morejlc712
