Need light for bathroom to replace Hollywood bars
Comments (2)There are many sconces that will provide better light in a bathroom. A 60W sconce of that design is going to be pretty dreary. Take a look at build.com...I've been happy with their prices and their large selection of sconces....See MoreOn Stage and friends
Comments (11)Thanks everyone! Jo- I do plant them too close together because I am a compulsive buyer and I have no where to put them all LOL. And this forum just makes me want more hahaha. I am going to move Francee out of that garden for sure and Ann Kulpa and LS Cindy Cee need to be moved too. Luna Moth grew much faster than I thought it would. I want LS Cindy Cee to be somewhere where she will really be noticed. Still only 1 eye but the leaves are getting big now. I can see she will be a real looker in time! In the back garden, Spartacus and the others are getting big and crowding out the Heucheras so I guess I need to move them somewhere else too. I did plant a new tree last year so hopefully in a couple of years, I will have more shade. I just bought Hollywood lights late in the season last year, let me find a pic... Looks like it was pretty bright then too. I will update pic later in the season. I think this one will be spectacular when mature. Well, I am off to the nursery to get some impatiens...I hope I don't see any more hostas that I NEED.... Linda ;)...See MoreAre 4 bulb vanity lights enough to replace 8 bulb Hollywood lights?
Comments (5)Roughly 145 lumens per bulb, call it 1160 lumens from the eight bulbs. If your four bulbs total at least 1200 lumens, call it 300 lumens apiece, you should be fine. Most 40w equivalent LED’s run about 450 lumens each....See MoreI thought Hollywood lights were an abomination?!
Comments (13)On “Pretend It’s a City” Fran makes it clear that she never entertains,so it’s not about other people. I don’t see her as the Hollywood lights type, but what do I know. Agree @Rachel ward it looks builder grade and am surprised by a builder doing this in Chelsea, even at $3m @olychick. I have a personal interest here haha. My 80s UES condo has Hollywood lights. I gotta say @Flo Mac you are right on the mark about the quality of the light (works great with my magnifying mirror haha). Interested in your idea that they work in some settings @freedomplace1 but I fear they have a certain Las Vegas strip quality, and I don’t think interior decor is just about taste. I think — like a gold toilet, for example — it communicates something about who lives there. But maybe I am wrong about what Hollywood lights communicate. From the POV of sustainability, I don’t see junking these lights. Thinking of changing the bulbs to LEDs and then getting one of these: Shades for Hollywood lights...See MoreLinda's Garden z6 Utah
