Custom IKEA Kitchen with custom Scherrs Walnut fronts!
Comments (28)Wow! I was so impressed with my cubby idea in my soon to be revealed kitchen. Think I'll slink back down to my bsmt lair. You win. Seriously, I am going to send this to my gc and "see if it is not too late to do this" in my kitchen. If he has a heart attack, do I still owe the last payment? I'd love to see the serious pix of your kitchen as well. I am sure I will love those as much as the great big toy! It is a very pretty kitchen from what I could see of the video ;)...See MoreIkea Sektion door front help
Comments (7)Let me see if I can help. I've spent some time in Ikea lately. The brown wood grained ones are definatly a med-dark brown. There is a bit of red undertones, but I would definately say they read as brown. The newer shaker style remind me of the maple ones I put in my mom's kitchen 15 plus years ago. Those have a honey stain, which was basically one color up from natural. It does not read yellow to me. Its definately a "light natural" wood tone. Blonde, but not yellow. You can certainly play with the design and then pick your fronts when you see them in person....See MoreIKEA kitchens before AKURUM or SEKTION
Comments (29)I think this was less so in the pre-Houzz days of gardenweb. No, it was much, much more so. It was that which led Susan Martin to start ikeafans in the first place, because of the scorn and contumely for ikea kitchens here. I well remember that when I first came to GW back around 2004, six-figure kitchens were considered totally normal and if you didn't want granite, you were pretty much shunned. The question wasn't, "What will you do for countertops?" but rather, "Which granite will you get?" Although, to be fair, clever inexpensive updates always did get deserved praise. But the crash certainly made the Kitchens Forum a more democratic kind of place, for sure....See MoreExperience with IKEA Sektion custom door company "Mix-it Modern"?
Comments (28)I hate to write this bad review, especially for a small business. But I have no other option left here. We bough kitchen cabinet door from mixit little more than a year ago. The original order had missing parts (which is still understandble) but I have ben trygin to email Steven for over a year now and have received 0 responses. There is no concentp of cusomter support. Please do not order unless you want to be stuck with a half done kitchen....See Moredianem87
