A quilter needs tools just like a painter needs different brushes. Just don't ask me how many paints (fabrics) I have...that's a whole different story in itself. haha! Not all machines can do the same things or even do the same things well. If that is ever invented...let me know! I want to buy it ASAP! haha One machine may have very neat stitches for piecing yet is horrible for free motion quilting. A quilter needs to buy the tools that suit her tastes and needs best and if that means having 10 different sewing machines, then so be it. Happy Sewing! I don't agreee with brickeyee - I have the 18" Woodmaster and DO consider it a good tool. Can't comment on RBI. The Woodmaster can plane, drum sand, mold, and gang rip. I've used it to do the first three. Here are some things to consider: - this is sold as a solid, accurate tool. No problem here; performs as advertised. The motor is plenty powerful enough - They make a BIG deal about their self-centering morris-taper design, making the tool easy to set up. While this is true for the planer shaft, it is NOT true fort the others. If you want to do sanding, molding, or sawing you must remove the planer shaft and the morris tapers and tread in an accessory shaft thought the end bearings. The accessory shaft threads through the molder knives, sanding drum, or saw blades during this process. This means you can NOT leave the molder or saw blades in a preset configuration and go to a different operation. The accessory shaft should also be on a morris taper. They have made a partial remedy by selling a separate planer shaft which does use the morris tapers, but this is an additional cost and does not address sawing or sanding. - dust collection is a problem. Well, actually DUST isnÂt so bad; you can pick up most dust from sanding and lots from planning, but the chips produced by planing or molding go out the front or back and onto the floor. - there are no rollers or power feeds at the bottom of the table. You must polish the steel with furniture polish or the power feed rollers will not do a good job during sanding. However, this design does do a pretty good job at eliminating snipe. - This machine uses a single molding knife on the accessory shaft. This means one cut per revolution. Most others use two or three, and it would seem to me that three (like the planer) would result in a much better finished product. So how do I use my machine: - planing: this is my only planer, and I use it extensively. - sanding: I will do setup for large projects, but for smaller jobs and spot-jobs I rely on my Performax 16-32. I find the Woodmaster is more accurate for wider boards than the Performax. But setup is an issue. - molding: IÂm doing all the molding for our house, so do take the time to setup. I try to do large runs. Once this is done I doubt that I will ever use this again. But who knows? - rip sawing: This is a joke. I donÂt have any job large enough to go through the laborious setup. I use my band saw ,instead. Might be a different story if the accessory shaft were on morris tapers, too.

You are training them well! Your comment about the hampers is correct. I end up having to collect clothes from their rooms. My 15yo daughter is the worst. I have to avoid her room if I don't want to ruin my day, and her clothes are the deplorable. The underwear, the deodorant stains, and she is the brute on the soccer fields, her uniforms are always stained up. She is a lost cause for now. I can just see your little guy sorting his clothes. ..I think I still have some time with my boys to get a few lessons in, after I learn them myself. I have been washing my clothes since I was 12, but I never learned how to properly do laundry, even in Home Ec.

Mark the washer did not smell at all. I opened up and I smelled every single part of that machine. Undid hoses, smelled the pumps etc. The smell was in the clothing. Towels were completely fine. Sheets were completely fine. The smell only came when I washed clothing. When I got my new machine I still got the smell when washing clothing because the bio stink was in the clothes. I had to wash all our laundry multiple times on sanitize cycle with ammonia to finally get the smell out.
