No actual bear photos, except from zoos. Although at one point we had a bear on our front deck, and at another point our neighbor shot a bear that was repeated raiding his trash cans. I do have this picture of my brother from a trip to the Smokey Mountains National Park where he took part in a nature program put on by the park rangers about the important animals in the local ecosystem.

No flowers yet, but my grandson wants to learn how to edge and maintain a landscape. No better training classroom than my own yard. He's six and I'm impressed by his motivation and willingness to work hard and get dirty. Most of the millennials on my street don't own a shovel or a rake.

Nicole, you really caught that little finch in a funny position!! Gazania, your granddog is so cute and looks like she is enjoying her new wheels!! Mine is a snow leopard at our zoo.

Nicole your bird photos are always so beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing them with us! Here's a field and the main road about 1/2 mile from our house. The road was nearly covered for a while and even though it doesn't look very deep, since the road is sloped on the curve, the bottom of the curve has about 3 feet of water covering it. I'm glad we live on a hill!
