Comments (8)I would suggest 20"-24" round chandelier, when the chandelier is too large it might be too close to the diners, a thumb rule is around 1/3 of the table size. Comments (4)I did some measuring and with a comfortable padded chairs and someone seated, that is 2 feet. You can get away with 2 feet behind the person, I know 3 is recommended, but 2 is doable, so that leaves 3 feet for the table which is small. I would carefully measure the chairs you want and see if you could get away with a 48" table. I currently have a rectangular table that is positioned lengthwise toward the shortest part of the dining room 7’ and width wise toward the longer part of the dining room 9’.
