Between fertilizer burn and under watered, I hope it make a full recovery. I would never fertilize my plants after the stress of drought since your already damaged fine roots are even more vulnerable to burn. I fertilizer after a good watering always. You may loose those leaves as they will fall as green as they are, but as long as the twigs/branches survive, it should be just fine. I would seriously consider fertilizing on a more regular and consistent schedule and make sure your mix never dries to the point of wilt or dried up leaves. Good luck Mike:-)

It varies on temps. Soemtimes they can just barely sprout and then it gets cold for a week or two, so they slow to a crawl. In general w/o any cold, I'd say 7-10 days.

Thanks everyone for the responses! I was concerned because it seemed as if the leaves were yellowing/shrivelling up quite quickly. While the photo I posted on Monday didn't have any shrivelled up leaves, a couple leaves were starting to yellow and the plant has lost a large amount of leaves since I first got it. The temperatures have been between 15C-25C the last few weeks. Last week had some colder days so I had to bring them inside for few days. My plants are on a balcony so they get some morning light and late afternoon sun. At least 4 hours of afternoon soon - probably more. Thanks again for your help!

I got this Pachira tree about two weeks ago from Lowes. Allot of the leaves were torn up, and some were too big, so I decided to cut almost all of the leaves. I only left the light green baby leaves. Is there a possibility hat I killed it? If it lives, will it grow back to the way I had it (like the first photo)? Is there anything I could do to make it produce more leaves or grow quicker?
