Sorry I don't have a picture of this. It all happened so fast. We take a ride over our fairly big property usually every night, in my electric golf cart. My husband recently mowed a new trail for us through a field. Yesterday afternoon we were riding through it, when all of a sudden, about 7 woodcocks flew out of the weeds. I live in central Indiana. Usually every year I hear woodcocks in February/March, but this year I didn't hear any. But now, all of these at once? They had very long beaks, short tails and the coloring and pattern of woodcocks . And they all looked to be adults. Is that uncommon?
Thanks.
