I'm Totally Mad !!
Comments (21)READ IF YOU WISH IÂLL WARN YOU THAT ITÂS DISTURBING AND LONG. 1) Sexual predator - cat of a whole different breed. Usually stalks, rapes and then kills his victim after raping them. God help me, but I believe that the carrying out of a death sentence is all that will stop these evil people. Their eyes are blank  they have no souls. 2) Pedophile - sometimes they also kill their victim, but not usually. The ones who kill are usually the ones who "know" what they are doing is "wrong" and then they try to cover up what they have done. The overwhelming majority of pedophiles DO NOT BELIEVE THEY HAVE DONE ANYTHING WRONG. Medical studies have shown that the brains of some of the pedophiles in the studies exhibited smaller amounts of "white matter" - this is what "wires" our brains. Those same studies, released by the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and published in the Journal of Psychiatric Research (this was 2-3 years ago), also indicated that many of the pedophiles DID NOT experience any trauma or mistreatment in childhood. It had long been the contention of the majority in the psych community (thank the good Lord I wasnÂt a psych nurse) that the pedophile was ALWAYS perpetuating what they had experienced in childhood. B>U>L>L>S>>>. Some people are just born with that sick behavior (see white matter above); others try it "on a bet" usually in the early teenage years and find they like the power they have over a child; some actually have experienced this type of horrible treatment in childhood and become the next generation of pedophiles (like begets like at times) probably because of lack of intervention if the situation was known at the time of earliest occurrence; and then there are those who experienced this in childhood, but NEVER become a pedophile. As to a cure  there is none for the pedophile who believes they have done nothing wrong. Chemical castration, as one pedophile stated in a publication, just "took the edge off for him. It kept him from thinking about it 24 hrs a day, but would not stop him from doing it again if he had the chance". Chemical castration must be a lifelong treatment, and you canÂt even "make" them take their meds in prison  think what it will be like when they get out. It is not successful treatment for those who do not participate in long-term behavior modification followed by an approved strictly regimented daily routine that is monitored for a long time after their release from prison. But that is still not a 100% guarantee of lasting whenever they are no longer monitored. Behavior modification usually only works on those who started down this evil path "on a bet" because they do know the difference between right and wrong  they just have to desire to make the right choice. The BRAIN is the primary tool for sex. Physical castration just removes the testosterone that the secondary tool (p.e.n.i.s.) needs to have to be able to perform the act and grant them their sexual gratification. And yes, that tool is the one used most often by pedophiles followed by their making children (especially a female child) provide oral sex to them. As Sylvia said, they will just get another tool to use. I wish I could just forget the acts some of them committed. I just retired Jan. 31, and that was a really long, slightly less than 2 years for me working out there. I could have just ignored this topic, but if you have ever walked through those prison gates on a daily basis and seen what IÂve seen, you canÂt ever leave anyone in the dark on this topic unless you have no guts or no love for children. Goodnight....See MoreNow I'm really mad!!!!!
Comments (6)Hahaha... tiny shovel indeed.... Toads - well, I think they hang around water don't they? And we don't have any water feature to attract them. Chipmunks we have 'out the wazoo' (does anyone say that anymore?). The neighbor behind, and on the other side of the privacy fence, has many feeders out for all the critters. From the kitchen window I can count 10... there may be more. And some are the platform feeders for squirrels. So it's difficult to get rid of the rodents that come around. I have a couple of things I'll do when the weather gets cooler to make my property less attractive as a place for rabbits to live. My DH traps and relocates chipmunks but again.... if you move one, it just makes more space for the other 100. So, if I treat for voles with castor oil and detergent... I guess they'll just move temporarily? So I'll have to do it periodically. Actually, I think I'll take a double-barreled approach and do the mousetrap thing AND the castor oil....See MoreI'm so mad!! Comments (3)That's a good photo! Ahhh poor little caterpillar! That's exactly what they did to mine. I never knew stinkbugs would do that. One never stops learning with gardening lol. Even when its about bad stuff, I guess. I finally got more varieties of milkweed to grow here than just the orange and red tropical one, now the stink bugs are everywhere. I used to let my guineas run around and they would eat up bugs and leave most caterpillars alone for some reason. There are too many roaming neighbor dogs around here now so all the fowl have to stay locked up....See MoreI'm mad for plaid, are you?
Comments (19)Beautiful Kswl! And you also have my dog pictures that I'm going get when you're sound asleep. :) I never thought plaid went out of style. Didn't use it in the 80's, but I did paint an old round wood dining room table blue. Hated it. Carol, I love Early American. That's how my mom decorated our house. I've always been fond of folk art which is why I'd love to have that pillow. I think the difference with 80's style decor and the plaids in the link (all taken from Houzz if you click on the picture) is they're a bit more...what's the word I want to use? Sophisticated? Elegant? EXPENSIVE? Yeah, that's the word. lol Bunny, thanks for the laugh!...See Moredrmbear
