Urgent need to decide on exterior lights tonight!
Comments (3)Thanks gaonmymind, Thanks for the advice, and good to know the tip about wall art too. The electrical work was done this morning whether we were ready or not. It is so hard to keep on top of all the decisions and to be ready for the unexpected. Good luck with your upcoming build. I wanted to add a comment about your kitchen and mine. My design had two islands in it, and many posters recommended I go to one large island. Ironically, for yours with similar square footage, a few mentioned the double islands route. LOL. Looking forward to seeing more plans of your house, and your lovely kitchen. Carol...See Moreurgent need to decide: Lennox, American Standard or Carrier?
Comments (4)Couple of notes: :: Make sure you have all sizing and model information before you pull the tricker. :: Make sure a load calculation is/was done to determine proper sizing. Just slapping in the old size isn't always going to work. Especially with higher efficiency units. :: For the Carrier system, I'd opt for the Infinity control for superior control over the system. :: American Standard is essentially the same thing as Trane-- mechanically at least, and I must admit I favor Trane equipment. :: Most importantly: Which contractor did you like the best/feel the most comfortable with? Which seemed the most concerned with your comfort? When contractors see you in a predicament like this, they can often boost their pricing since they know you need to get a new system. They will also pull stunts like "Sign today and get the system early next week." I'm not saying it happened, but make sure the contractor is sincere is all I'm saying. Good luck. If you provide more information on these units I can tell you the efficiencies they'll really be getting. Don't always believe the "Up to XX SEER."...See MoreURGENT: Need help decide river rock size for front yard
Comments (5)Not sure here - do you want a walkable area? Do you want to lead water away from the house? Just for looks? You could do crushed gravel on most of it, and do a "river" with the larger rocks. Perhaps large rocks to delineate the perimeter of the "river" - smaller rocks to fill in the river area. You can make great decorative effects using more than one kind of rock...See MoreNeed help deciding on a rug
Comments (20)Thank you everyone for your input. As far as size goes I am not sure yet. Price range no more than 1,00$, I want something that will last a while. I am not planning on having a tv in this room as we have another room that will be used as entertainment center. It’s hard to place the sofas in the center of the fireplace because my dinning room is just behind and it will interfere with the walkway. I will however consider placing the couches on an L shape and see how that looks! Thank you again!...See Morenosoccermom
