What happened to my sweet marjoram plant?

I bought this plant earlier in the spring from a local nursery when it was about a half of the current size. I cut the top 1/2 inch of all branches soon after that. It was growing upright until last week when the branches started bending. It otherwise looks like a healthy, happy plant. I looked at many sweet marjoram plants online and all of them grow upright.

I keep it on the east side of the house in partial shade. The temperatures now are in the 80s or low 90s during the day and low 70s at night.

I will be happy to hear from people experienced in growing sweet marjoram.
