Punch! does look interesting. I checked their website and will probably purchase soon. I've been using a draw program for about ten years now called Canvas. It's worked very well for me but the company was sold and it looks like it may not be supported for much longer. It has a paint component as well, but I've been using PhotoShop for imaging for almost as long, so I've never used Canvas for that. The originator of Canvas, a company called Deneba also created an application called DenebaCad, which I purchased but never learned. I've long considered biting the bullet for the cost in dollars and learning curve for the highly rated VectorWorks (originally called MiniCad). It seems like Punch! may be worth checking out as the price is quite reasonable for what it says it can do. Did you ever acquire Punch!, chillin already?

I am sure you could work something out using iphoto and iDVD. Go to the apple web-site and see if there is anything ready made.

We are facing that exact decision! We love the freedom of a Mac because we are computer dummies. But, as we are trying to design our retirement cottage without an architect and I obsess over proportions (Will a 24" linen closet door look too big in our tiny hallway?), I really need a way to see 3D designs of our plans. I've down-loaded Google Sketch Up, which looks to be a powerful tool, but the house will be finished before I get the hang of it. Last night Hubby took me to the library because Merillat looks to have an awesome, easy-to-use but powerful 3D kitchen designer but couldn't use it because it requires downloading some software onto "your" computer. Maybe a cheap PC is the answer. What design software do you use?
