Playing in the dirt, um mud, today...
Comments (10)I'm adore hearing about you and Jordan and her learning to garden! Devina and Vince were so tickled with the seeds you and Jordan sent them and we got them planted, they're actually going to get to have a bigger garden, so we made them their own plot rather than just a corner of mine. Is there anything else that Jordan would like to plant? I've got some extras that I'd be happy to send to her like you did to Devin and Vince. They were so tickled to get their own seeds in the mail! Thank you again for that! OH! And the boys have decided that they need a frame for Jordan's drawing, it's from their garden buddy and it's a piece of artwork. :) Kathy...See MorePlayed in the dirt today! Yippee!!!
Comments (13)When the sprinkler guy came out Monday, I had to pull out all of the spinach that had overwintered. It was a whole plastic grocery bag full, which is more than we could eat before it when bad, so this morning I blanched and froze it to use for cooking. The kids hate cooked spinach, but if I use it in a pasta dish I can sneak it past them : ) Yesterday, I moved a couple of mums and hibiscus ROS to an area where I am making a new perennial bed. I know I'm doing it backwards, I should have prepared the area, and then moved the plants, but I wanted to moved them while they were dormant, and I haven't had time to go pick out the stone that is going to edge this area. Where I stood to take the photo are the electric and cable boxes for the neighbors house, so hopefully this will hide that a bit. You can see one of the new apple trees in the background. Once I pull up the rest of the sod and get the area edged with stone, I plan to move some Kniphofia (I wintersowed last year), Lavender (wintersowed this year from Skybird's seeds), and some Alyssum 'Golden Queen' (also wintersowed this year). Happy digging, Bonnie...See MoreScarecrows Came To Play Today
Comments (13)Karen, thanks again for all your sweet comments. J, thanks, I can hardly wait to see your crow scarecrow. Sounds sooo cute. I think you hit it, the glasses are "tipsy." I seen this some where and thought it was kinda cute. Yes, I'm a copy cat and like different things. Frou, glad you liked the table and scarecrow gal. I have so many hats in my crafts but this was the only one out at the time. Lynn, I hope your right and DGD enjoys this little table with her sc's on it. The brown plates are Home, the white are Federal and the bowls are Target. The gourds were from TJ Maxx. Jane, please come play. Try to be here tomorrow night for the party around 6. Maybe you can load the bus and you gals can shop on the way! I'm hoping I get to keep DGD all weekend. She will rearrange them several times I'm sure. This reminds me I need to move the treadmill I put in front of her kitchen before she see's it. It's been "Just For Looks" more than anything else! If I don't get my rear in gear, I won't be able to enjoy all the Christmas candy this year.Hum... Punk...See MorePlaying with my cheap lens at the pond today
