Comments (6)A pitch fork? Or twist a coat hanger around a long hoe? Or around a garden rake? If you pull them close with a rake, could you reach them with a coat hanger? Oooh. How about a wadded up glob of duct tape on the end of any old pole or stick. Just tap the jug with the sticky tape and bring it out. Let us know what works. I'm not allowed to go to recycle places, because I'm pacing myself. I'm only allowed to use the jugs I come across or use in my daily life. I was at a movie last night and grabbed about 5 clear cups with lids, that they serve icy drinks in, out of the trash. My step daughter was mortified. I might go back. Comments (19)Most people know their backyards better than anyone else, and so they know the weather patterns as well as the patterns of use. In my garden, I had to place the containers up on tables because of a curious puppy that would find and shake-to-death any container that she came across. Later on, the puppy had grown into a sensible and trained dog, but my son had grown into a collegiate and had fellow collegiates with size 13+ shoes visit him--they would walk through the patio or yard to use the downstairs entrance to the house. After dark, nobody could see the flats on the ground and wow! Flats fly far when tripped over by size 13+ collegiate feet. Flats fly in the breeze because they weigh too little. Water equals weight. If you know there are some strong breezes or gusts coming your way then water your flats well. If a severe storm is coming then take the flats to an unheated garage, shed or the trunk of your car. After the storm passes you put the flats back outside where they were. Winter Sowing is highly adaptable, it was written to be that way. People are experts on their own needs and uses of the method, they are experts on their own backyard environment. Keep all that in mind when you plan your own Winter Sowing. What works for someone may not work for someone else because of their personal environment, needs and knowledge. You'll find countless dialogues about containers. Quite honestly, the seeds don't know what they're sown in so choice is not a factor in germination. What matters is good sowing medium--I like fertilizer enhanced potting soil, you need depth--at least three inches otherwise you risk the soil drying out unless you want to water almost daily (ugh), and finally, you need a safe site for the container--someplace animals or humans can't disturb them. Comments (8)I also have the same problem with FE Series "Double Pink" I didnt bring it up because I didnt want to confuse anyone. I bought the Double pink with a few blooms on it and didnt have an excuse why it wasnt blooming. I went to FE website and noticed the Double Pink is no longer offered and neither is Red Sensation. Their Red Hydrangea is simply called "Red" now. Seems both Red Sensation & Double Pink have been discontinued. I feel like a test dummy...lol...leaves a bad taste in my mouth to ever buy a FE Hydrangea again. I dont want to spend years again waiting for a hydrangea to bloom, just to find out it was a dud. They have months left at best in my yard if they dont produce here soon and my money is on they wont. I have 5 Hydrangeas in pots I winterize already and dont want more in pots. I bought them to be planted in my yard...lol... Thank you for bringing it to my attention that it was a new cultivar and prompted me to check their website. I would never buy a FE Hydrangea unless it was in bloom to prove what it is. Along with checking on the web that others in colder climates have had success with that particular one. I have multiple years success with FE Series: FE Original, Blue Heaven, Peppermint & Together. Summer lace I bought last year and seems to have proven to be worthy also. Rebloomed last year and has put buds on new growth this year also. I see FE has many new exciting Hydrangeas I didnt know they offered now, but I wont be their test dummy again. It's a shame they apparently rushed hydrangeas to market that werent proven and I wont take that chance again....See MoreRecycle Bin is corrupted?
Comments (6)If you can open the recycle bin and right click the file.. can you do that ? If so, Un-Delete it. I've from control panel, users .. deleted user accounts in win8 and they seem to disappear completely easy enough. So maybe that file is bigger problem than it seems. You can certainly try to use Control Panels 'Programs & Features' icon to uninstall QuckBooks .. and if that works, see if that file goes away. But try to undelete it first may be necessary now. You may need to login windows to the account that won't delete, and from Control Panel 'Folders' options, put everything on Show Hidden files. Then open your C drive while in that account, and double click the $Recycle.bin and then the folder inside it.. try to delete the file there - if it wont delete,,,, try to delete the folder it is in.. and no luck,,, maybe delete the actual $Recycle.bin if you cant get rid of this mystery file. You can try also starting the computer in Safe Mode and try deleting that file too the various different ways I've suggested.
