I Love Springtime, but…..

I hate trying to figure out what to wear. I'm going to see Menopause the Musical this afternoon and the high temp will be 55 and cloudy, low 43. Back to the winter closet to try and figure out what to wear that won't look too wintery but will keep me warm.

If it is about menopause I'd opt for dressing lightly :)

Oh too funny Cassandra!

How about a light weight mock turtleneck and a cardigan? Or a nice blazer over the turtleneck? Stylish, warm, and you can take to top layer off if it gets too warm.

http://www.bonsai4me.com/ try looking around this site. If your little plants are just seedlings, treat them well, and wait till next year to tinker around with the root or shoot system at all. If the seedlings have a bit of height to them, try merely bending over (carefully) the branches with a weighted string or loosely wrapped wire (that holds it shape fairly well). Bonsai prefer to get a lot of light, or be placed outside. So if your little seedlings are inside, put them in the window!

The flowers are made from shaved wood, like large versions of the shavings you get when you sharpen a pencil. They are a local specialty of that area, and the vendors' booths are set up just as you enter the town. Sadly, I could not bring any home with me. My luggage situation was not ideal, and I had no room to spare. But next time I will plan ahead so that I can get some! Mnwsgal, our perennials are also still looking really nice and the fall seems to be lingering in a benevolent way. But now it looks like we have a winter storm arriving on Monday. So I had better get out there this weekend and at least get the ball rolling on the fall cleanup. I'm sure it will feel good once I get started on it, right?

It looks like the curse of the frozen apricot blossoms will be upon us this week. This has happened a lot in recent years, and many Utahns complain that they can't get a good apricot crop in many years. According to weather.com, it's going to get to a low of 32 degrees on Tuesday and 28 on Wednesday in Salt Lake & Utah valleys. I think that will kill many of the apricot blossoms/fruits this year. :-( I'm glad my nectarine, cherries and apples flower a little later. I don't have an apricot, but there's one across my back fence. They have been flowering beautifully this week.

Not sure that is the sconce I'd select for a bath. It's not the metals, it's the overall look. I don't think the light would be enough for a bath.

Oh what fun! Be prepared to laugh and laugh and laugh! Saw it by myself when it came thru here and keep hoping it will come again!

I was amazed at how much I enjoyed this show. So much fun! Oh, and lay night I wore a turtleneck, light weight fleece, vest and winter jacket. My light weight clothes are sitting on the ironing board. They are not needed yet.

I never saw it but my Aunt loved it.
Dress in layers, easy on & off clothes. No way do I do sweats that have to be pulled off.

Layers, for sure. I used to be cold almost all the time but since I've hit the over-50 age group my temp is all over the place. Enjoy the play!
