It is very disgusting and sad to hear about yet another case of animal neglect - people like that should be prohibited from coming within ten feet of any animal ever again. Ironically, situations like these just cement what most of us said to Lori regarding the care she takes with puppy homes. First picture looks like a bulb, maybe a lily. Wait and see how it develops. Second picture looks like tulip foliage. Third and fourth pictures are too small to identify, for me. Just watch them and see what they do. Post some pictures after they grow some.

That is something to think about @gsciencechick. Charleston city is below sea level. I wonder if they plan to make the surrounding wall higher? Charleston I believe, is about 10% above the average cost of living, and has had problems with traffic, congestion, etc. for a long time. While I love to visit there, I would not want to live in the city itself. Same as we avoid the tourist area near us, or take alternative (not largely known) routes to that area. My sister's condo is near the waterfront going into Charleston, but they have not experienced problems there (flooding), or in the suburb where they live. I know Mtn is looking for a city spot, not sure about Jojo. There are lovely areas near there. We love the old town of Summerville, which I believe would be about 30 miles from Charleston. Lovely old homes, quiet, friendly. Lots of area to check out! I can't wait till Mtn and Jojo visit the area!!
