Robin egg/nest questions

Family member in Winchester, Tennessee has a robin who has been nesting outside her house for several weeks. After a bad storm last night the robin has not been on the nest. She has asked me if it was possible to place the eggs in another robin nest who's parents are still there. I know it's not not a good idea for many birds and especially if you don't the species, but what about this situation? What should she do? She is a skilled animal person/farm owner, so possible raising the babies is an option. Although, I have read that baby robins are a bit more difficult than other birds.
