For the ornamental grasses, I've found that if I take a hedge trimmer to them I can cut them down in about 1 minute. If they were more cruise-ship friendly in 2011 when I was there, it was probably not much more so.
This was looking in the opposite direction from the previous shot -- mostly a cargo port.
And only the green roofed building shown here was used for cruise ship passengers. I think the red roofed buildings were warehouses
The tents shown above did have a welcoming committee with steel drum band and dancers in carnival costumes.
