Reminds me of both borage and viper's bugloss but I do not think it is either... How tall is the plant? Are the leaves quire hairy, almost pickery? Does it smell like cucumber or even have a sort of fishy smell? Hope someone else chimes in!

They stand upright when they grow naturally in a garden where they have had the appropriate room and light. Your plants were most likely grown squished together with a million just like it. They all grew really tall stretching for light, etiolation. Everything is taller and thinner than it should be. The stems are thinner and never had to hold the weight of the blossom. because they were crammed in with a whole bunch of plants just like themselves. When grown in a garden, it would naturally be much shorter and fatter, generally stouter. See the image below for comparison. See how big the flower and short and thick the stem. Not the thin elegant lines of your delicate calla lilies. I see that you bought this plant all wrapped up in cellophane/ That also helped the plant hold it together.

Notice the disproportionately small leaf tufts - these have not been grown - as in developed from a significantly smaller size - in those containers. Doubtless the bonsai style effect is being produced by digging or pulling up horizontally growing rhizomes from plants in normal situations, potting them in nearly vertical positions. The method may perhaps also involve cutting first flushes of leaf fan growth off, so that these are replaced by smaller ones.
