Pictures from ARE--Rosa Gigantea and Bluebonnets

Finally getting around to posting these. Like I said we go to ARE about
once a year at various times, usually relating to Easter, but other
times as well. I had never noticed their RG specimen before, it is on
the backside parking lot. It may be that this is the first time we have
parked over there when it was in bloom. Anyway, when we first pulled up
I thought it was a dogwood tree until I got a closer look. These rose
plants live up to their name. Point of reference I am 6'4".

And I Know they aren't roses, but what is spring pictures in Texas without a few Bluebonnets. Its still a little early in spring here, so a lot of the once bloomers like Lady Banks and Texas Mt Laurel and such were blooming, but most of the roses as you can see haven't bloomed yet.
