Sounds like a great opportunity to "let loose" with some inner exhibitionist/artistic self! Go for it, and have a blast.

Sounds like a hoot!

prairie_rose meant to say, "Sounds like a mooooooo_t." Lol.

Too funny tibbrix. LOL

You'll be terrific, give it all you've got!!

So ... the one who's almost entirely devoted to quietly putting out the singing of others ...... gets to put out her own sounds ... directly!

o j

You'll be great! Have fun!

Have fun!!

I have to audition on Wednesday for a spot like everyone else. The girl who is in charge of this told her boss....the VP of HR about it and his reply was "She has to do it! I have got to see this". Couldn't turn down the request of the VP.

Push that comfort zone and have fun. (Maybe post a video?)

The trick is to do it the way you always do it. If you dress up gansta and make faces, do that. But if you just sing along with it in the car in the carpool lane, dress appropriately, use a chair, and imagine being late for work. If you do it as a goof on the gal in that movie, dress up for a wedding. And if you just do it recitation style (not singing) as a trick to amuse your friends in the lunch room, give yourself a table as well as a chair, and recite it the way you always do.

That should be easier, and more fun, than if you try to turn it into an "act", and it should go over well with an audience.

I've never heard of the song, but you'll do great!!!!

I haven't either. I must lead a sheltered life. Keep us posted Samkaren.

Now, I'm off to google "Rappers Delight."

I just 'Googled' for this song and I know this one, just didn't know it was 'Rappers Delight' :-)

One of my favourite songs. I bought the 45 when it first came out even before rap as we know it now

What fun!

How fun that is going to be, have a great time!

You'd better get somebody to record it on their cellphone! You'll get tons of hits from this board alone!

will keep everyone posted!

I hope you win!

How fun! Off to google too.

If I make it past the audition I thought of my intro and my exit. Intro I am going to wave to the audience (Hi!) and say "I'm going to take you back to 1979. Feel free to clap or if you want to sing along......if you know the words. When im done I am going to say "thank you" and then courtsey

It sounds like a plan

That sounds great! Very talent show with a cultural jump shift. :)
